The Home Page now has an option to create teaching materials for your classroom.

When you enter a topic, your exploration will start generating.

All other options in the header are the same as in the Learning canvas except:

The Teacher Canvas - What Happens When You Enter a Topic to Teach

  1. First an exploration is generated.

  2. You will be able to make changes to the exploration (Edit, Add Notes, Create Guide and some new functions exclusive to the Teacher canvas which you’ll see below).

  3. When you are done, you can publish the exploration for your classroom.

When your exploration is generated, it will look like this:

SocratiQ generates a list of topics for you to introduce to your class. Each of these topics have options:

You can

  1. Generate a lesson plan for the topic

  2. Add a sub topic

  3. Edit or delete the topic

Once the lesson plan is generated, you will able to see two new options:

View Lesson Plan

The Lesson Plan will tell you how to introduce the topic to the class, how to approach the different concepts inside the lesson and may be even a joke to help you lighten the mood in the classroom.

Show Activities

You will be able to see a list of activities to use in your class and the expected learning outcomes:

Note that a subtopic will have all the options available in the main topic. You will also be able to add notes and bookmark which are similar to the Learning mode options.
